Worthwhile Eats

We will be camping the majority of the time, so most of our meals will hopefully be on-the-go and over-the-campfire. But I%26#39;m sure we%26#39;ll want to mix in the occassional restaurant-meal. We will be bouncing from Kalispell to 2medicine to Many Glacier to Whitefish and back to Spokane. Any notable meals we should try (breakfast, lunch, or dinner)?

Worthwhile Eats

Park Cafe over in St Mary. Have pie too.

Lake McDonald had very good food.

We enjoyed eating at the restaurant at Swiftcurrent. Not fancy but good food and nice people.

Worthwhile Eats

When I stayed in the St. Mary/Babb vicinity, we ate the majority of our dinners at either Two Sisters Cafe or Johnsons Cafe. I highly recommend both! The cafe at Rising Sun was also very good IMO...I had the chicken salad sandwich %26amp; it was excellent. BTW, don%26#39;t expect to get any really cheap meals on the East side of the park.

Also, I hear Serranos Mexican Restaurant in East Glacier is delicious. We tried eating there one night, but there was a ridiculously long line. That also indicates that it must be pretty good!

We enjoyed Park Cafe so much that we ate most of our meals there last summer.

The above recommendations are all great. However, if you want to treat yourself at some point to a more upscale meal at some point, Capers in downtown Kalispell is superb. It%26#39;s a casual fine dining experience from a great chef who uses local ingredients where possible.

Oh...and Pollo Grill in Whitefish is excellent in my opinion. I think I wrote a review on it back in 2006.

Serrano%26#39;s and Two Sisters get my favorite picks for GNP. (You should try arriving at Serrano%26#39;s about 15 minutes before 5:00 pm, which is when they open. It fills up really fast!)

The Rock Creek Grill in downtown Spokane has great food, and so does Azteca%26#39;s (another Mexican spot).
