Grocery Options East Side of park

We start our trip in Glacier coming through Kalispell and plan on picking up camping food there. But I prefer not to buy a week%26#39;s worth of food at once. We will be spending the majority of the trip at Many Glacier/Two Medicine / Rising Sun areas. Any good places to restock on groceries around this area? I heard the selection of food within the park groceries is slim compared to parks like Yellowstone and Grand Teton.

We stayed in St. Mary, which is at the eastern entrance to the Going to The Sun Road. The only ';grocery store'; there was like a 7-11, which had ample supplies of beer and chips, but little else. We had trouble finding enough for picnic lunches. One day, they were out of peanut butter. Hopefully someone knows of a more promising source on that side of the park.

I believe the St. Mary%26#39;s Grocery Store at the Sinclair Gas Station is the best option...I think this is what you are talking about jjo. They have a pretty decent selection there, although it%26#39;s definitely not going to be like a grocery store you%26#39;re used to in St. Louis. You should be able to find basically anything you%26#39;d need there. And I%26#39;d also say definitely not as much selection as in Yellowstone or Grand Teton. If you really need groceries, you may want to pick up some on the way. Browning, or the Kalispell area have what you%26#39;d need.

The options in St. Mary%26#39;s are pretty meager. Last year when I was there I found the best option to be the Supermarket in Browning (an Amrican Indian town) which is 20 miles Northeast of East Glacier. It is just under an hour drive from Many Glacier and about 1/2 hour from Two Medicine. I don%26#39;t remember the name of the store but it has a full selection of meat, produce, and the usual supermarket selection as opposed to the places in St. Mary%26#39;s that are glorified convenience stores.
