Rising Sun to Logan Pass, How long?

While staying at Rising Sun we will be taking a day to drive to Logan Pass, hike Hidden Lake, etc. We will have just driven GTTSR the day before from the Kalispell airport to Rising Sun. We know we need to get there fairly early to get parking. It doesn%26#39;t look very long by mileage but how long will it take to drive from Rising Sun to Logan Pass? We are thinking of trying to get to Logan Pass by 9 AM, if we leave around 7 AM with a stop at Wild Goose Island and a few stops for photos, would we get to Logan Pass by 9?

Yes. I don%26#39;t think its over an hour and might be less.

You%26#39;ll know for sure when you drive it to get to Rising Sun. I understand the sunrises at Wild Good Island can be quite nice.

easily. It is only 12 miles from rising sun to the pass and you are on the fast side of the pass. Wild Goose is best at 5 am (or whatever time sunrise is) Logan will be very chilly still at thea time of morning.

Okay thanks. Another timing question, we%26#39;re planning on it taking about 4 hours to drive from Kalispell airport to Rising Sun with stops along the way for pictures and to take in the scenery, but with no hikes that day. Is that about right?

Kalispel airport to west glacier (go north to columbia falls, then east to hwy 2) 30 mins. Depending on weather, construction and traffic you have 3.5 hours whcih should be quite leasurely.
