Anyone have a feel for how busy the park is on this long weekend?
As I said in my other post, we had hoped to go the first week in September. Labor Day snuck in there...being terribly late this year. We also read that the Going to the Sun highway is closing in September for construction. Caught between these two events, we want to get in a week. Will crowds be a factor? Or I should say, are crowds usually a factor on a holiday this late in the season.

Labor Day weekend in GNP
Labor Day is usually pretty busy as it is the last big weekend for the park. The road closes Sept. 15 for repairs. If you are going to Logan Pass, get there very early or you may find there is no space left to park. This will also be true at popular trailheads.
