Travel time from Waterton to Kalispell Airport

We will be staying overnight in Waterton Lakes NP and traveling back to Kalispell to catch 2PM flight on Sept. 17 ( the only afternoon flight out) Is this doable or unrealistic? Streets and Maps says about 4 hours if GTTS road is open. There seems to be a debate on whether it closes on Sept. 15 or 20.

You could do the long route, hwy 2 via east galcier from waterton in 4 hours. More like 3 via GTTS. I am unsure on the closing and construction plans for fall and they could change more than one time by then. Give you self plenty of time and take it easy.

I%26#39;d find it hard to believe that GTTS route could be faster than the hwy 2 route! Between the unpassable, slow moving traffic and the construction delays, I wouldn%26#39;t even consider that route on your time frame.

It is roughly an hour from Waterton to St Mary, another 2.5 hours to West Glacier via Kiowa and East Glacier and a little less than an hour to Kalispell from West Glacier. So more or less 4 hours. I%26#39;d be planning to leave Waterton by 8 am (or even earlier).
